Take-Two Interactive has released its third quarter fiscal 2008 financial results. The company reported a massive $433.8 million net revenue for the quarter, which ended on July 31. This is more than a 210% increase over $206.4 million, the previous year's third quarter postings. Take-Two Interactive's Q3 2008 net income was $51.8 million, which is significant when you compare it to the company's $58.5 million reported net loss for the same quarter of the previous year.
Leading the charge was the Rockstar Games developed Grand Theft Auto IV, which sold over 10 million units across the Xbox 360 and PS3 platforms since its April debut. The company also attributed its financial successes to the Pam Development developed Top Spin 3, and the Firaxis developed Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution.
For the nine months that lead up to July 31, Take-Two Interactive posted an overall net revenue of over $1.2 billion, up nearly 75% as compared to the postings for the same period in the prior year.
