Rock Back Update Allows Export of 55 Tracks
Sequel's potential endless set list gets even bigger.

by: Michael Ogunnubi
September 06, 2008

Today, MTV Games is set to release a title update for Rock Band. This required update allows users to import 55 tracks from the original game to the upcoming Rock Band 2 (shipping September 14). The update adds an Export Disc tab under the options in the Rock Band menu. The service is not free, however. Gamers who want to export the 55 tracks will need to pay 400 MSP ($5).

An online connection is required to export the tracks. All tracks from RB1 will be exportable with the exception of the following songs:

* "Paranoid" as made famous by Black Sabbath
* "Run to the Hills" as made famous by Iron Maiden
* "Enter Sandman" by Metallica

Harmonix didn't include information if the bonus tracks (all from Harmonix bands) would also be exportable.

Obviously, you won't be able to send these tracks to RB2 until the game is actually in your hands.
